I have that ram. It works fine, my comp shreds pretty much everything that I throw at it. Of course that will change soon...but thats the case with everything with technology.

I have that ram I have 2 sets of the 2x1GB sets and they are perfect ram and good for overclocking.

ya i wont get into overclocking just yet still a mediocre computer specialist so jughead you said you have 2 of the 2x1gb rite. so that equals four so should i do that or is two sufficient (btw dont no if you need to know im useing windows vista home premium 32bit as my os so i dont know if you need that information)

Well if you are running vista you should get 4 gigs but you should have went with 64 bit vista cause 32 bit wont reconzige all the ram maybe around 3.5 gigs at least that is what it is with me in xp pro 32 bit.

ok so i should go with 64?? i havent built the computer yet just runnin information past everyone i will build it later this month. umm i know there is alot of threads on 64 and 32 bit but do you think you could tell me what the difference is like what are the downfalls of 64 to 32 and what not. what is the difference you get what im saying

One of the main differences is that all 32-bit versions only support up to 4GB of memory. The 64-bit versions vary, home basic is up to 8, premium up to 16, and Business/Ultimate up to (I think) a ridiculous 128. Some security features are different as well. However, the 64-bit version does not support 16-bit applications. Since you're making a new build...go with 64. If you were upgrading...the 32 XP can only upgrade to the 32 Vista. But you don't need to be concerned with that.
