RAM for a dell

so Im not really that good with computers and ive tried looking up what RAM to stick in my wife's crappy dell inspiron 600m but ive been getting different answers. i know someone here can help. unless im mistaken, I should be using ddr pc2700. ive also heard i can use ddr pc2100. is one better than the other? also, do i need to stick with 200 pin? i guess im just really confused and any advice you guys have would be very appreciated. thanks a ton
 
FYI

PC3200 DDR400 Also works as a substitute for PC2700 - it'll just run at the lower speed ( the speed the PC2700 RAM runs at ). So if you can save some money by going with the 3200 - ya can get that. :good:
