RAM for AMD 770

Hey just got a quick question
I have a GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P Mobo, and I've been thinking about upgrading to 8Gb RAM. But I've seen that a lot of the ram has approved chipsets.
I was wondering if it'd cause any issues if RAM that was approved for say the P67 chipset would also work on my AMD 770 chipset even if my chipset isn't on the approved list?

thanks!

** edit **
don't hurt me, but I appear to be too stupid to update my sig, can anyone help me with that? hahaha

Supports anything up to DDR3 1666. Most as in 99% any will work just fine. The ones listed on the site are just the ones they have tested. Doesn't mean others will not work. I always thought it was a dumb idea to list it that way. My opinion it should just have a list of incompatible memory.
