Hi ppl, im on a mission and could do with some assistance. Specs follow..
Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB)
Intel Core 2 DUO Extreme Edition X6800 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.93GHz (1066FSB)
HIS ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR4 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache X2 in RAID 0

1st prob is the 2x HDD`s. There are 3 SATA connectors on the mobo labeled 1,3,4 ?? and at the bottom is another 2 labeled EZ backup RAID with 2x SATA connecters. So ive just plugged the 2 HDD`s into the EZ connectors at the bottom. It seems to run ok and is in RAID 0 but is that the correct way of doing this.
I have refered to the mobo manual and its all jargon.
2nd i have ive opened CPU-Z and looked at the RAM and it says its running at 533Mhz ???
the ram is Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB)
So i went into the BIOS and it was on auto so i configured it to run at 800mhz, saved and exit. The PC would just about to get to the windows loading screen and crash :/
So i went to the BIOS and the RAM down to 667mhz and it runs fine ???
Looking on Corsairs website it recons the RAM can run at 800mhz and 1066mhz ?????
Im soo lost lol. I have done OC`in on a few AMD rigs with normal DDR and they have been fine. But this isnt havin none of it.
BTW everything in the BIOS in on STOCK settings apart from the RAM.
Im a bit mad because its a lot of money and bought the X6800 just to OC it and im not getting very far.
Could some1 shed some light on this please
