Ram Help with presario c500

According to what I've researched I need a DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module to upgrade my computers ram memory. I don't have experience with upgrading any hardware on my laptop. My question is if I order this, is it going to be to far over my head and will I not be able to install, or get the results that I want?

no, it should be fairly easy to install. you can usually access the RAM bay underneath the laptop fairly easily, especially in HP/Compaq computers. just take off the cover and pull the RAM out. if you dont feel comfortable with it yet, look up a tutorial or post a hi-res pic of the underside of your lappy, and someone may be able to walk you through it.

EDIT: by the way, make sure to check how much RAM your computer is capable of. for instance, my HP can only handle 2GB of RAM. plus, Windows may only be able to utilize 3GB.
