i just took out my ram today but im having trouble putting it back in. obviously it fits but im having trouble fitting the clips into the ram. I feel like im using a lot of force but its not going anywhere, is that normal? dont wanna break anything. and also does it matter which way the ram goes in? i know the side with the gold connectors goes in lol but does it matter if i changed which side is touching which?

RAM does take a bit of force to get in, Also; RAM will only go in one way, check in the RAM slot, ther is a small notch, this will line up with the slot on your RAM.

and also does it matter which way the ram goes in?
YES!, line up the notches on the DIMMS and make sure the clips are open, then just push down till the clips lock the DIMMS into place.

EDIT: ur quick on the draw my friend Kornowski, :P

Actually it's duel...

When I was faffing around with an older PC I used a large amount of force to place the memory in and eventually I just closed the clips in on the memory as they don't always work correctly. You can't use force here though, if you need to then the RAM needs more force.

oo looks like ive got this all wrong then, i was putting the ram in then trying to push the clips. the clips are suppose to snap in place when the RAM hit the bottom....i see now. thanks, let you know if it works.

ok this really isnt working, im pushing really hard and still nothing :/ not sure how much harder i can push before it brakes.

The mobo still in the case? If so it might be worth taking it out and putting it on a bed or summin then try and push the DIMMs in?
