Hi I'm thinking of upgrading my RAM but I've been hearing people have all sorts of problems with it, such as overheating issues. Firstly I want to know how likely this is to happen, as well as what other kinds of problems are common, basically I'm looking to expand my knowledge on the subject, and how to apply it to my Asus P52F.
Secondly if it seems I would be able to avoid major problems then I want to know what the highest RAM is that my CPU would be able to support. The specs say it can be upgraded up to 8GB RAM, but I want to know if the laptop could actually take it, and if not what a more optimal level of RAM would be.
My P52F has an intel i3-380M 2.53Ghz processor and currently uses 2GB of ram (DDR3-1066/PC3-8500) running on Windows 7 64 bit
If any more information is needed then this website covers pretty much everything I think.
