My daughter bought me a HP Pavilion p6210y with 6 gigs of memory! Ubuntu only sees 3 G's and Windows 7 sees 4 G's! Bios says slot 2, 3, and 4 occupied!! Can switching slot 4 to slot 1 rectify this
That's odd, I checked out the HP site and it appears to come with Windows 7 64-bit, and a review stated that it had 6GB of RAM as well. Can you verify that you have a 64 bit OS installed? To do so, right click on "Computer" and go to properties.
