RAM or a video card?

Recently I've been playing a lot of online games like CS, WoW, ect. simply because theres been nothing to do around here.

I've been lagging quite a bit while playing, WoW isn't very laggy, just choppy, but CS just lags insanely.

I currently have a 128mb video card (I know that doesn't tell you much, but I truthfully have no idea what model it is, or how to check...)

This is some basic info about my PC:

I have no idea which would make me run faster, and less choppy. I have a great internet connection.

I am on a pretty tight budget, I have $300, but wouldn't like to spend all of it, I also only plan to buy either a video card, OR RAM, not both, unless I can get both a cheap video card, and RAM that will speed me up...

mmorpg.... system ram is more crucial since mmorpg has thousands of people in 1 server and it make sit lagg... especially if many on your screen... you will get sudden chunk of laggness. to reduce that you need lots of system ram! it helps stablize and support the steady-ness.

FPS.... graphic card is more crucial since these kind of game bearly laggs compare to mmorpg. all it need is a great graphic card to handle the graphic and be able to see some nice eye candy without sacrificing laggness.

systam ram helps steady-ness and stablize... it will reduce the sudden chunk of laggness. so if you dont care bout eye candy... jus want smoothness... go with ram. but if you want eye candy go with graphic card.

but mmorpg is a must for more ram....

I'm afraid you're pretty much out of luck... It's possible to upgrade the video card, but from what I found, you only have PCI slots in that computer. Thus you're very limited and cards are rather expensive.

If I were you, I'd save the $300 and build a new computer in a couple months. Using a few parts from your current system, you could probably build something decent.

However, if you must upgrade what you have...

That's probably the best PCI graphics card you can purchase.

yup.... and that celeron isnt that good either, your best bet is to get another mobo and keep the CPU or seomthing... unless yuo have extra cash and just get another PCI video card
