Hello guys, right now my pc can turn on, when i swap for my new RAM's the screen appear black. TO me it seems like my RAM's are broken but since im not an expert i would like to know if these RAM's can even fit with my Mobo.

PC Setup:

AMD Phenom II x4 965
AMD 6970
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

My new RAM's that seem to not work: Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K4/8GX 8gb memory across 4 modules. 240 DIMM . Will these even work with the setup or is the RAM's just broken?

What i tried to fix this:

Trying out 1 module at a time.
Changing volts/RAM speed/clock in BIOS aswell as using the auto function.

I hope you guys can help and i hope you got the information you need! thanks in advance, regards.

Most likely faulty ram. Check the ram in another system that will accept it if possible. Can you put the old ram back in and will it boot up?

Your motherboard might be faulty. AMD have common problem such as blue screen cause by memory controller in CPU or chipset. Trying test your RAM in another system.

What exactly do you mean by that?

I used to have AMD 64 computer and have many problem like windows 7 trigger Blue screen of death when there are error in memory, hard drive, or motherboard faulty. Also sometime it shut down computer itself for no reason.

You might think it is RAM, in my old AMD 64 computer, problem but it is not. The AMD chipset have bug and problem. Which is why i have to tell the OP to trying test his RAM on other computer.

i tested the RAMs in my brothers computer and it runs smooth! hes using a almost similar setup like me.

However if i put in 2 ram blocks it runs, if i put iin the other 2 it wont start and keep being black screened, bug?

I have been building Intel and AMD systems for years. Your statement is not true.

Are you saying the two sticks will run in yours, but the other two sticks doesnt? Have you tried resetting your bios and tried the memory again?
