RAM question 5 gigger?

Alright, As you can see, I'm planning on getting a 4 gig pack running PC2-6400 dual channel and I have a one gig stick of PC2-5300 non dual channel (I think). My mobo says it can run that. But can it run them both at the same time?

You should be able to but why? 4GB is plenty for now.

4GB is plenty, and running an odd number of modules means you'll be stuck in Single Channel, meaning odds are it'll be faster with 4GB
