Should it matter whether i use 1 stick or both sticks of duel ram when i install the OS?....when i used two, i had trouble copying "all" the files....when i used one..it went fine....and now...whenever i use two and run memtest..i get numerous errors. I'm not quite sure why..because..when i run memtest on them seperately..i get no errors...does anyone have any suggestions?

I once had a similar problem, it was the two different types of ram that didnit let me install windows. My ideas woudl be that one might be ECC and another might not be, and maybe something with the speed. If i were to guess, Error Checking is probably the right answer, correct me if i'm wrong.

Possibly...though...both my ram are identical...and ...in the same package...see sig. Actually..i have just read something interesting. Apparantly..it might be the heat thats getting to them...i just read in another forum another person with the same board and ram having same problem.

if you read on...when he holds a fan to his ram..coolong them..they go error free...
So, now im thinking..there must be something in bios that will help me make these ram run less hot. Can anyone think of anything??
