I was wondering if you can still use a pair of duel channel pc3200 in a mb that does not support duel channel memory? Would they work like single channel.

Yes. Dual channel memory is something supported at the memory controller. There is no such thing as dual channel DIMMs. They are simply 2 DIMMs stuck into 2 different memory channels on the motherboard.

If you buy a dual channel kit it is just 2 indential sticks of memory. There's nothing special about it.
