ram question

i was just wondering, if i have 4 memory slots on my mobo can i use all 4 of the slots (lets say 1gb of ram for each slot)?

They are there for a reason...

Check your manual first. There might be special combinations to get dual channel working, or if you use single layer or dual layer sticks. But for the most part, yes, you can use all the slots.

you can even use different specs for each slot provided they're all of the same type of RAM..
