I'm looking to upgrade my RAM but I have 1 question before I order anything. I was looking at these sticks from corsair and I like them.

In the specs is says compatible with some Intel stuff. I'm unsure if it will work with my system.

MB: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 AM3+ Crossfire USB3.0 SATA 3
Proc: AMD FX-6100 six-core
Current RAM: Corsair 2GB 1600 XMS (x2)

Idk if there is anything else you need to know. Thanks in advance for any help.

They might work, but you would have to down grade the speed on them. Your Motherboard memory specs. are for 2000 (OC) no more. I would go to the motherboard maker's site and check the specs on memory, or might have it in your manual.

Either one will work. I have the GA 970A UD3, not for sure with yours but the latest bios update it included multipliers up to 2400. But anyway the board will probably default the memory to 1333 and you will have to set the speed and timing manually for above that. Any reason you need 16 or 32gb. of memory?

Ok, I'll check on the bios update. And I thought 16gb would be more than plenty. The only reason I even looked at 32gb is I found more options than the 16gb and the price wasn't too far off. I also just read about RAM disk and I thought it would be something useful to try. But your right, 32gb is overkill.
