Ram Question

I currently have 512MB of Ram. I just bought another 512MB but I don't know if I bought the right kind. The 512MB of Ram I have in my computer says on the sticker that it is: 512MB DDR PC 3200 CL3. The Ram I just bought is:
512MB DDR 2700/2100 PC333/266. And on the front of my computer it says:
512MB (which is how much I have now) PC 2700 DDR SDRAM memory.
Did I buy the right Ram?

i don't think you should put these 2 together
coz one is DDR400 and the other one is DDR333
you're gonna face some problems
try to return the DDR333 and get another DDR 400

Yeah, get the same kind, just so you don't run into more issues.
Usually the MB will use the lowest speed, so your DDR400 would downgrade to a DDR333, but that is not very stable, and you never know what effect it might have, so get the same kind wherever it is you shop.

ok thanks but different brands don't matter right?
If you get different brands they most likely will work, but sometimes you run into problems. You should just get an identical stick to what you have now.
