RAM Questions

Hello,
I'm looking to build a new computer around a P4 3.0GHz

What sort of memory should I get? I'd like to get maximum performance without overclocking. And I'd like to get 1GB of memory.

I've read that I should get PC3200. But since motherboards today support FSB 800, shouldn't I get faster than PC3200?

What is Dual Channel?

What brand is recommended?

thanks,
slick

1. Without overclocking you should just stick to PC3200 as anything above that will be overclocking.

2. The choice between DDR and DDR2 .... DDR2 is better but probably not by an earthshattering margin (in practise) yet. You might consider getting the i915P chipset based board as some have capacity for both DDR and DDR2 :)
