The motherboard that i'm planing to buy says that it support up to 8GB DDR2
It has 4 slots for ram, 2 Black, 2 Yellow

MoBo: Asus P5K-VM MicroATX

Does this mean that I can put 4 sticks of DDR2?

yes, you can put in 4 sticks of ram.

the slots are color coded for duel channel purposes.
fill both black spots before using any in the yellow slots.

Windows Vista 64-bit is not limited on the 3 gigabyte RAM barrier you will see with Windows XP 32-bit. So if you want the maximum capacity of 8 gigabytes your operating system will recognize it. I wouldn't get over 4 gigabytes of memory as it will very likely not all be utilized and you will be wasting your money.

What processor are you buying to go with this motherboard?

How do you know what color to fill first, or does it not matter as long as one entire color before the second?
