Ram speed, 800 vs 1000

i can change my ram from 800mhz to 1066mhz whenever i want, and i can tell you definitively that it makes no actual difference. just get some good 800mhz ram with a cas latency of four or three and your set.

Unless your overclocking, the 800mhz is fine. I'm ordering that exact DDR2-1000 kit tonight, this 800mhz ram i have now is holding back my benchmarking capabilities! :P

Your mean 500mhz, and DDR2-1000. :P

Its just much more simple saying 1000mhz since thats the only thing people know :D

DDR2-800 is 400mhz ram, DDR2-1000 is 500mhz ram. Thats why CPUZ will say its 500mhz ;)

500x2=1000. I don't know who on earth thought of doing it that way :P

Oh yeah yeah. I get you know. Yeah it does say 499.5MHz (yep, I can't claim the 1000MHz :D). I guess it's because its DDR2... I don't know. Mine is stock 400MHz though...
