Is it normal for a pc with 4gb (pc-5300) of ram to get a 5.3 on vista memory score?

My 667mhz PC2-5300 4GB (4x1GB) gets 5.5 and my timings are 4-5-5-15 at 1.8V

How did you get a 0.3 memory index jump? Did you change your timings?

5.9 with 8GB, when i was on 2GB (both on 6400 RAM) i was still getting 5.9

It says my CPU is a 5.5, i put a core2duo wolfdale extreme in and still only got 5.7

dont trust what windows says, it isnt that accurate, instead refer to the individual software minimum and recomended system requirements

I have 4gb of Patriot Extreme Performance Bladed Series PC2-5300 667mhz memory. I just tried a pure memory-only overclock to 800mhz using 5-5-5-15 at 1.9v in my BIOS. I can't make any changes to my 1066mhz FSB or Q6600 CPU because it's locked out. Anyway now I have my Experience Index up to 5.6 for my memory! Before installed my new RAM, my old generic 4gb memory only got a 5.4 index score. The new memory originally got a 5.5 without overclocking.

Thanks for the replies. However, my problem is now fixed. All I had to do was to adjust my BIOS settings in order for the memory to be at its full potential (667mhz)
