RAM speed with my CPU FSB

A friend told me that even though my CPU is 1066mhz FSB, it still runs at 800 because my RAM is at DDR2 800 mhz. Is this true? If it is and even if it isn't i'd also like to know if its easy and if it's worth it to OC my RAM.

Its not true. Your FSB is still 1066Mhz. Everything is running on full speed.

Read on for more info..

The link between RAM and FSB speeds is called DIVIDER. The actual speed of ur FSB is 266Mhz. Your RAM speed is 400Mhz (not 800, because 800 is dual data rate). Therefore, your divider is 1.5.

The FSB is the link between The CPU, the chipset and the RAM. The word Divider is just a word we use when we reduce the actual speed of the RAM.
