Ram speed

hello all, i was originally going to build a desktop with 2 gbs of ddr2 800 ram. Now i found i can get a better deal through dell with my dad, and save about 200 or more dollars. However that rame is 2gbs of ddrs at 667mhz. Im assuming the 800 is the speed. Will i notice a huge difference in the speed, and will i still be able to game, such as company of heroes and such.
thanks
kevin

If you're going to save $200 go with the 667.. the minor speed increase is SO not worth it. :D

Edit: and you wouldn't even be able to notice a diference between the two in games.

The DDR2 800 memory is faster. But the model cpu you choose will also make a difference overall. You would have to choose a model that runs at the 800mhz fsb speed to see any real difference since a lesser model would still run at the 667mhz speed. Most games out will easily run on the system here with an AMD64 3500+ single core cpu having 2gb of value ram installed. Even with the 667 memory you will see faster speeds.

thanks guys, when i said 200 i meant on the whole build, including monitor. Soo obviously the savings is throughout but still a great deal.
thanks
