RAM sticks work individually, but not together.

I've had 2 Geil 512MB sticks for 2 years now. I just got 2 PNY 1GB sticks. My MOBO can take 4GB and has 4slots, so it fits fine.

The old memory worked fine, but when I add the new memory, the computer's memory test adds up to 2.5gb, not 3gb, and then it tries to load windows and gets to the loading bar, but then stops and gives me the BSOD saying that ati2dvg is stuck in an infinite loop. I have an ATI Radeon X1600 card btw.

The 2gb cards work if I take the 2 512mb cards out though...

All the ram are exactly the same specs- DDR400 PC3200 same pin count.

I have no clue what's going on- thanks for any advice. I know you guys aren't paid for this.

Check the frequency of the ram make sure your board supports it, also try changing slots, dual channel mode, single, ect. If you could link us to the ram and your motherboard.
