ram temps

what are common, or safe temperatures for ram to be running? everest home edition says my ram is always running at 77c no matter what load my system is under. and it is also only telling me temps on dimm slots 2 and 4 when i have 4 sticks, but i suppose that is another question...

that is probably in-accurate info that you are getting from everst. To be safe, I would just setup an active cooling system for your ram, just jimmy rig a fan to blow on them.. i used to have the vantec tornado 80mm fan blowing on my crucials but that was just TOO loud, so i grabbed up and small 80mm quiet one and threw i on there...they run at 280mhz + max load and don't have any probs

the ram is at best warm to the touch, so i think you are right.do you reccommend a better program for monitoring temperatures?

if ur case has a side panel and is positioned right on the ram u can flip the fan to suck air out, add head spreaders or invest on something like zalman cpu fan where it vacuums air from the ram side and out the back case.
