Ram Timings???

Have my e6600 @ 3.4GHz on 1.465v. RAM running 1:1 and current speed is 758. I have this RAM. Is there any way I can get the RAM running faster (958+) with different timings? My current timings are 5-5-5-15 and its runnung on 2.00v, I don't have much idea about timings. Thanks in advance.

The way to see faster timings unfortunate for you would be to buy a performance orientated set of dimms with the faster timings seen. That looks like one type of OCZ velue ram and not the performance line there. That memory is supposed to run faster at 2,4v while you have it set in the bios to 2v. But the only other thing there would be to raise the memory clock on the board for bringing up the fsb somewhat.

I have been told that these are a great set of ram and have read some good reviews on them, I must have been mislead. I had these running at 900 (450) when CPU @ 3.2 with auto timings which I think were 6-5-5-18 or something like that. Why wont they go past 758 (379) when CPU @ 3.4?

Some hardwares have their limits for obvious reasons and simply won't go past a certain point. OCZ is one of the top brands for memory. But you are trying to push that set further then it was made for. Another tip for ocing memory is lower the cpu clock/multiplier down a little to get more from the memory installed.

The model dimms you ordered are value to mid range and not the higher end performance dimms for seeing the faster timings. But even with performance memory with ocing in mind those will have their limits too. The board is another factor to weigh in when trying to push memory. That will also have it's own limits.
