RAM Upgrade -- Do I need to do anything special

I know obviously I need to physically install the RAM into my laptop, but is there anything new I need to do with Windows itself (like allocate the memory or something like that) or possibly specify its exsistance to the BIOS. I read through the Ram 101 Sticky but did not see anything. Any help is greatly appreciated .

just ensure you get a mtaching speed for the memory already in there, pop it in and away you go, nice and simple

You may need to change the page file size, other then that nothing will need to be changed, you maybe prompted when you start your computer that the memory has been changed and to hit F1 to continue, other then that you should be fine.
