RAM Upgrade for HP Elitebook 840 G2 Notebook

Hi guys, I've never installed RAM before and am looking to install some RAM in my HP Elitebook 840 G2 Notebook. It currently has 4GB installed and one open RAM slot. I would like to install an additional 4GB of RAM. Can anyone here tell me what specifications I need to look for in order to purchase the correct 4GB stick of RAM for this notebook? My local Microcenter has this RAM (link below) but I don't know if it is the correct one:

I expect that should work.
I suggest bring your laptop and screw driver when you purchase locally. Install it when you are in the store such that you can ask for help if anything go wrong.

I'd physically identify what model of stick is in there currently and buy something very similar (speed, voltage, timings).

That usually nets you the highest chance of them working properly together or avoiding odd behavior such as negotiating at horrific latencies or dropping RAM speed down to the lowest common denominator.

You can also use something like CPU-Z to identify various information items about the stick.

Okay, thanks very much guys. I opened up my laptop and looks like I will have to take out the RAM to physically identify it as the side that is showing does not have many markings on it. I uploaded pictures of this to show you. I will also try out that program (CPU-Z) as well as that seems really convenient. Thanks a bunch for the help

Just push those 2 outside clips out and the stick will pop up and then remove it.

I also took some pictures of my RAM to show you that they looked almost identical. Only differences were that mine is made in the Philippines and has a few different numbers after the part number (which may be related to a serial number or something I think).
