RAM Upgrade

Right, its been long enough since my last ram upgrade, so its time for another one...

i currently have 1GB (2x 512sticks) Im looking at getting 1 stick of 1GB ( so id have 1x 1GB and 1x 512)


Will it work with 1536mb of ram???? or should i wait and get 2x 1gb at the same time???


BTW its DDR2 200pin laptop ram
 
Your best performance and system stablity is always seen when running equal sized matched dimms. Different sized dimms will still run if they are the exact same type and speed while not necessarily being the same brand. For dual channel mode and the best overall the move upto a good pair of 1gb dimms to replace the current with the same type and even faster if supported would be the ideal. If you pl;an to upgrade to Vista if you haven't already that would serve as a plus there.
