if I hit alt-ctrl-del and check how much ram am currently using it says 359 but when I check on a program like Everest home edition is shows am using 556. why does it show a difference of 197?

i am not familiar with everest home edition, but obviously it is yet another program that is running in the background, hence a gain in RAM that is being used, also i do not think that Windows takes into acount your virtual RAM (not included in the graph)....so that might account for the difference in numbers, depending wiether or not this everest program does take it into account
