Ram ... which would u choose?

They are basically the same, I would just go with the cheaper one and/or the color you prefer.

FIRST RAM - HORRIBLE. Read my sig. DOA, and I send it back somewhere on the 13 (Dec.) and I STILL haven't gotten it back...
Every company has some defective products. It's reviews like that which drive my crazy, they bad mouth a product and give it bad reviews because the first item they receive is defective. Wait for the new item to arrive before bad mouthing them.

2ND RAM - IMO it's better because you can dual channel it, providing some speed over 4 sticks.
They are exactly the same thing! The first set of RAM is just a 2GB kit (which he will buy two of), and a different colored heatspreader. The second RAM is a 4GB kit. Both will run in dual-channel!

Cheaper after the rebates, and faster (CL4).
This doesn't apply in this case because it's cheaper, but it's not worth spending more money to get memory with CL4 over CL5, mainly because anyone can easily tweak it themselves.

i just bought the first one and it's coming in tomorrow. i misread your post and thought you were contemplating 2GB for $54 cheaper over 4GB, but now i see you want 4GB total, which makes the price difference $7.

is 4GB something anyone can actually utilize yet?

Read that item's reviews. 1/3 or so get them defective...

Hmm, I might've misunderstood something: Can you dual channel 4 sticks?
