ram

I don't know what's more dumb, the question or you're lack of spelling/gramatical abilities. Maybe someone else will help but if you want something from me, you best learn how to type

Well, RAM stands for Random Access Memory, nothing Random actually in the whole issue, but it's called like this because this type of memory loses everything stored in it when power is cut off.

RAM is the second fastest memory in your PC, the first being the registers in your processor which has the the same speed as the processor itself. Speed is measured by Mghz (Mega Hertz) and Ghz (Giga Hertz).

The RAM is mainly the channel which deal with the processor, all your computer devices must send or receive information to or from the processor through the RAM. The RAM communicate with the processor from one side and to other devices from the other side mainly through the Hard Disk, it acts as a medium to transfer the processor commands to the Hard Disk in which your operating system execute through the files on your hard disk.

Physically, RAM are sticks containing chips and they are inserted in your Mother Board. There are many types of RAM as well as different storage sizes, SDRAM, DDR, 128MB, 256MB and so on.

That's a nice how-do-you-do!:P

Anyway, in answer to your question of how to get more, we would need your system specs because there are many different kinds of RAM. If you don't know that, a brand model number would work.
