ram

Well im asking b/c why would you do that? One is slower then the other and they both are cheap. Why not just buy 2 of the same. Im sure they will work but the point is to do something right the first time.

It will probably. But it will auto clock to 667. The timing and voltage are so different I have no idea what they will default to.

i have the g-skill from taht link and when i right click on my computer it say i only have 448 of ram, do i have to manaly set the value of the ram? and how

No it auto does that, Why not just run what you got for now and safe up the money. Do you need the extra right this moment?

If your using the onboard video, its eating your memory. Think there is a setting in the bios to only use the side port memory, but that would cut you down to 128mbs.

You don't want 3 sticks of RAM in a Dual Channel motherboard.

You want 2 or 4.

So if you want 3 gigs:
Two 1Gig sticks
Two 512Mb sticks

If the slots are not filled equally, the RAM will not run in Dual Channel mode
as intended.

Buy a 2x2GB 800MHz kit when you have the money, both of those RAM chips suck to be perfectly honest, and running odd numbers of RAM chips and odd sizes means you cant run dual channel which is a bottleneck

Something like either of those would be perfect

how do i get 16gb of ram it there is only four ram slots

Yeah 16GB is just excess, unless you're running a server or using a CAD type program, stick with 4GB or maybe 8GB at most
