What would you guys say the best proformance RAM is?

I would be willing to spend up to $250 maybe plus alittle. I want 2GB.

alright well hook u up with something sweet, but what kind of motherboard u got? regular 184 pin, 4 slots?

Basically it depends on the slots you have, the number of pins you can have for your motherboard, and the speed that you want them to run at. The best would probably be DDR2 that is overclocked, but that just depends again, on the speed at which it runs.

Look at my sig guys... Just by looking at my sig you should be able to tell what kind of memory my mobo supports (it doesnt support DDR2).

This has been my favorite modual for a while, really good bang for your buck.

value ram seems to be the most o/cable, depending on the brand... but if you want guaranteed performance you'll have to spend a few bucks to get some corsair xms, or some ocz... i think one time i found some nice 184pin ddr500 with timings 2-2-2-8 for like $180 or so, it was 1gb dual channel.
