ram?

Im thinking of buying this laptop ( http://www.dabs.com/productview.asp...Id=11105&PageMode=1&NavigationKey=11105,41585 ) but i wont be able to live on 256mb ram. What type of ram dose it take so i can upgrade to 1gb?

it'll be ddr, but not dektop sticks, laptop ram has a different pin arrangement.

apj, how do you know its DDR and not DDR2?

Its an HP NX 6110
Pentium M 1.73GHz
It comes with 256mb ram but i want to upgrade to 1Gb

That would be DDR2 memory, most likely DDR2 533.

you should have someone else here varify that its the right one before you buy it.

It's DDR2, but you'll have to check if it's 533mhz (PC2-4200) or 400mhz (PC2-3200). They must match if you were to buy another stick. You can try opening it up to see the label on the existing stick or see if there is documentation on the box that lists it.

nope, you need pc2700 (DDR333).... 200pin laptop ram, upto 2gigs.
all you needed to do was google it.
