Yay finaly the prices of ram have gone down over the past couple of weeks in Pc world over here in the uk.

Now what do you recomend i get?

2 x 512 sticks for £67.98

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/st...null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=033877&category_oid=

Or

1 x 1Gb stick for £64.99

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/st...null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=202867&category_oid=

Only someone here recomended that having 2x 512 mb will be better than just a single 1 gb stick...Is tis right?

Also the 1Gb stick i show on link cannot be purchased in store so il probably end up buying the 2 x 512 sticks anyway:cool:

Also whats Non-ECC ECC mean?

Will it work on my pc?

Please give some advise

Thanks ;)

While the 2x512MB would have better performance in the short term, I would personally much rather have 1x1GB, then later upgrade to 2x1GB, instead of having 4x512MB.

the 512x2 would be able to run in dunnal chanel mode.

and (I think please corect me if i'm wrong) that ECC stands for Error Corecting Code whitch is a good thing for servers
