Random computer not POSTing/Starting

Hi All

The last couple of days my computer has randomly starting giving me issues...

I turn it on and it doesnt POST, the screen remains black, there are no beeps (not even the single beep that means everything in fine)

It just stays like this forever... The only way to get it to turn on is to press the reset switch like 10 times repeatively and eventually one of the boots will work...

Im stumped as to what could be causing this... I haven't done anything weird to it in ages...

my money is on psu

try and reset cmos (pull battery)... but i bet trying a different psu will be the fix

less common (yet i see it sometimes) your power switch is sticking, if your psu isnt the problem try and unplug the case switches from the board and use a screwdriver to short the power button pins

Next time you do a cold start. Before trying to boot. Flip the switch off on the back of the power supply, push the power button a few times. Flip the switch back on. And boot up. See if it boots normal.

Tried this... Didnt work first pop...

It seems that it likes the reset button, push it enough times and it will work...

Also I dont know If I made myself clear... Its not POSTing but it is turning on.. All the fans start, the lights turn on, the cd rom does a quick grunt same as the HDD... Just no normal single beep of a successful POST... No display on screen etc...

Any other ideas, why would the PSU not be working in such away... If there was a problem with the PSU then surely it wouldnt run games fine as?

Thanks
