what exactly is happening?

try resetting the CMOS via jumper, if you cant find it, unplug your computer and pull out your CMOS battery for about 30 seconds and plug it back in

I say you try SPEEDFAN and tell us what the temperatures are. If they are fine, then as Praetor said, I would have a look at how stable the voltages are. You can use CPU-Z for that. Try to post as much information as possible from these two programs if you can. You did not overclock the processor or have you?

well for starters, run Memtest86

You can use CPU-Z for that.
But I wouldnt (and you cant really and for what you can... it’s readings take a bit of “getting used to”).. speedfan will do the job

Well, what I meant by stress was normally gaming, but once I was virus scanning and importing music, multitask stuff, and it restarted.
CPU isn't overclocked, and hasn't been yet. This is my "speedfan" type program, came with motherboard. It shows voltage to.

Under stress, CPU doesn't get past 40, usually. I think we can rule out heat do to this.
That memory test thing is quite confusing, would you mind explaing how I would run it, and which tests to use. It's a bit over my head.

k. that helps w/ installation. I'll post results, but for now, could be TV Tuner card be not agreeing with the vid card or something like that?
