Computer randomly locks up and restarts while playing BF2 or Oblivion. Case temperature around 40C with max temp 45C (summer here).
I have a thermalright xp90 cpu heatsink (keeps cpu temp below 70C) and a thermaltake smart fan 2 (80cm) in front of my hdd blowing at max rpm (keeps hdd temp below 45C).

What component is overheating that causes the lock ups/restarts?

how far below 70 is your cpu are you sure its not getting any hotter than that ,go into bios and see what temp is set for the pc to shutdown

I just ran cpu killer 3 for 20 minutes in a hot room and the temp didnt go above 63C.
go into bios and see what temp is set for the pc to shutdown
Where is this found? I went into bios and couldnt find it, even tried advanced options (ctrl + F1) and didnt see anything

it should be in the BIOS with the CPU/system temperature.
There isnt an option for it.

What about your graphics card temperatures?
My video card doesnt come with a temperature probe. Anyway if the video card is overheating it will most likely display artifacts than reboot the computer. When the computer does restart/hang while playing games I do not notice any display corruption.
