Random Power-Downs in Certain Games - Help

Okay, se when i play CoD4, GRID, and Crysis my pc will just power off by itself, like a hard crash, but no BSOD, no errors, and no crash log... just a warning that windows didn't shut down properly. I though it would be my overclocks, but i lowered everything to stock and it still crashed.

The strange thing is that this happens only in some games. L4D, CSS, Hitman Blood Money and Assassin's Creed are stable; GRID, Crysis, and CoD4 are not...

crysis causes the problem in ~10 minutes
GRID takes about ~30 minutes
CoD4 can last up to an hour

What is the problem?

yeah. they are all fine. 8 hours prime95 is the first thing i did after overclocking...

The strange thing is, as soon as it goes off i can hit the power button and its straight back on, boots up fine except for the "windows did not shut down properly" thing.

It only ever gets 75*C, fan speed is 65%... putting it up or down has minimal effect.

but then again, crysis is the most intensive game i have and it crashes the soonest...

oh and FYI when it crashes everything will be running normally. no slowdowns, artifacts or anything... just happily playing and then power is off. :(

^^ An overheating card doesnt always mean there is too much load on it. It could be a failing fan or old TIM. I would try the following

-Check all fans
-Reapply Tim
-Maybe flash bios to newest ver

I reapplied the TIM about a month ago... IC Diamond 7 (used to use this on my CPU, then got AS5)

that dropped temps by 5C at load... the fan works, and i am getting another 140mm fan (same as the one on my side panel) as a front intake... cooling my HDD and sending more air into the case.

How would i go about flashing my cards BIOS?
