MY PC keeps rebooting at random. I have the latest mb BIOS, clean install of XP with SP2, however I didn't get to do any updates yet. Where else should I be looking?
P.S.- I turned off the option to reboot upon error in control panel.

hello

1. to get updates go here : http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

2. your computer can be over heating and rebooting because it may be HOT. CPU can be over heating.

3. Right click on desktop and click Properties then go to screensaver and blow should say Power - then click on Hibernate up on the tabs above. Down blow should say Hibernate in blue text. Click the Check in the Enable hibernation box and make sure there is no Check mark in that box.

if that dont work make sure your computer is not over heating because it will turn off if it is over heating. so please make sure you hace a CPU fan cleaned and put more fans ( case ) fans in.

If it dont work please repost.

My CPU is running cool (39C). Hibernation is not selected.
I'm thinking power supply. Too bad the only way to test it is to replace it.

Just tried a brand new PSU, still rebooting at random. I'm going to open the case again and check the components.

Components are good. I'm thinking it may be this crappy mobo that I had to buy as a replacement (It's a PCCHIPS).
