Random Resets

I am getting random resets and can't figure out the cause. I get no "Safe Mode starup" prompt when resetting or any errors whatsoever. I go to event log and it doesn't give me any info on my resets. My questions is this: Is there a way to find out what these reset are cause by other than the event log? A program to record these or anything? Im getting frustrated

Might be a sign of too much heat on the processor. When was the last time you had it cleaned? If it is real dusty or the processor fan has died.It could explain it.

Install pc wizard 2008 and tell us what the temps are for your PS and your HD>

I will intall PC Wizard 2008 when I get home from work today and let you know what the temps are. I have a Zalman CPU Cooler and my temps never get above 35 deg. Celsius on my processor. Video card has a Zalman on it to and it stays around the 45 deg. Celsius mark. But I will get the other temps as soon as I get home from the job. Also, I could be a suspect of not cleaning out the inside of my case. My computer has been built for about a year now, and I haven't cleaned it :o

Also, I thought it was a memory problem since the resets started just a couple months ago, and I upgraded to 2GB from 1GB a short while before the restarts started. So I ran Memtest86 on the ram for over 24 hours with no errors, and made sure the timings were set right. Should I run it for longer? Also, the ram is 4 sticks of 512MB, is that no good and should I get 1GB sticks instead?

okay, here are some temps and voltage:

Voltage CPU: 1.27V
+3.3V Voltage 3.31V
+5V Voltage 4.42V
+12V Voltage 12.14

Processor Temp 24.5C
Processor Temp (Core 1) 24C
Processor Temp (Core 2) 32C
Mainboard Temp 38C
Power/Aux Temp 3.5C
GPU Temp 44C
GPU Diode 45.8C

I looked, but cant find out how to find the Hard Drive temps. Have any tips on that with PC Wizard 2008??

HDDs usually don't have temperature sensors in them.

Try updating your drivers. Your temperatures look great.

I updated the bios so we will see if that is the problem. So far it hasn't reset, but only time will tell. If it resets again, I will update this thread. Thank you for your help.

Update: I think the BIOS update did the trick. I haven't had any resets in the last few days after the update. Thank you to all that commented and helped out. You guys rock!
