Random restarts. Kernel Power 41

Some months ago i posted a thread about my computer having mixed results when i tried to boot it up.
It was obviously a PSU related problem, it didn't turn out to be as bad as i thought, i was able to start my PC all the time pretty much. But eventually the PSU got old and gave in, so i got a new one.

Now the problem is that i will get the Kernel power 41 error ever since i installed the new PSU.

The computer basicly just restarts..

It only happens when i play demanding games like: GTA IV, Empire total: war etc.
Lesser games like: Warcraft III, Call of Duty 2, Worms Reloaded etc, runs fine.

I am almost sure that it is a hardware related issue, since i didn't encounter any trouble with my old PSU (If you overlook the sudden problems with booting up)

The old PSU was a 750 watt, the new one is 1000.. So power isn't the problem..
Tomorrow i will open up the case and check the wires inside the PC, but i have already done that once, the PSU should be connected properly..

Any suggestions?

A good 1000 watt modular psu is gonna cost around $200 or more. What are your system specs?

Okay, i tried to enable(from auto) C1E in BIOS.. Haven't had a reboot since..
Hopefully this solved the problem.. I'll write back in a few days and report..

Well, you definately don't need a 1000 watt unit for that setup. A good 550 watt unit would work and give you some headroom for later.

True.. My old PSU was 750 watt and i just didn't want to go below that..
And the only PSUs they had over 750 where 1000..
I THINK that the problem may be solved now though, if it isn't then i'll go talk to the guys in the computer store..

A user on another forum told me that changing the power plan in the system could help..

Anyone think this is a good idea?
What should i change?
Just bump up the voltage?
