Random squeek noises....

Well, i finally got XP to work, now another thing..:/...My PC will make random high pitched squeek noises...At firt i thought it was the HD...But its coming from the other side of the PC....Its near a USB Drive, A FAn, and the MOBO itself...If the mobo is touching something will this happen...When i download stuff, and when the PC kicks into high gear it makes the noise badly...But not always... Any ideas? Thanks!

I ran a HD diagnostic test and it said there were no errors so i dont think its that....It doesnt sound like its from the fan, but may be...but is it possible the mobo make a chirpping/cricket noise? Thanks URGENT!
 
uhh..the only moving parts in a computer are the harddrive(s), CD/DVD drive(s) and fan(s). Your motherboard could have a chipset fan and that could be causing the sound.
 
i was gonna say it was your HD, but you said it's coming from somewhere else, take the case off, and see whats goin on, take it off, and run it.
 
open it up when your using it and try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from. you can then work from there to see if its hardware related or internal.
