RangeMax N Router?

I just got a Netgear RangeMax Next Wireless N Router model number WNR834B for $30 brand new from my brothers job and I was wondering if it will give me better up and down load speeds than my piece of junk Linksys Everywhere 4 port router?

For a few months now I have been having issues with super slow DL speeds and whenever someone else goes online at least one of the other PC's gets booted. All my PC's are hardwired so the wireless feature really is not used much, but I'm starting to think that my router is going out the door so I picked this one up hoping it will be better than my old POS. I mean worst case I'm out a big whopping $30 and have to buy a different router.

I duno about the router part of N, but the purpose of wi fi N is longer ranges , i think it uses 5ghz instead of 2.4ghz. How does your pc run in general ? is it slow? A long time ago I had a linksys that starting working really slow.

Pc is fine on its own but when I plug it into the router it is slow
