Would 1 WD Raptor be enough space? I will be playing games/ watching movies/ playing music / Entertainment

Or should I get 1 500gb WD Caviarr

A good 160gb model being the largest capacity in that series would be the thought there. Presently I run a pair of WD 500gb sata models while planning to add at least one of the new Green Power 1tb model for that increase in storage capacity.

Any form of video will chew up drive space fast leaving a 74gb Raptor out uness strictly for the OS and softwares while using a larger second drive for storage. Some install games and apps to a second drive and then wonder why they have to be reinstalled later when swapping the host/OS for a new one.

Yeah media files will kill your storage capacity....what I'd do if I were you is get both. Get a 150GB Raptor (only slightly more expensive than the 74GB version) and put your operating system and games on it. Then get a little bigger hard drive (7200RPM) for your media.

After partition and formatting the WD 500gb sata here try seeing the out of drive space message appear as a warning when the 465gb usable suddenly sees 420gb used up and Windows is letting you know! Fortunately there were a few folders of then ide files no longer used that saw the big exit then! :P
