Ok so this desktop will be used for only couple of games: Nascar Racing 2003, Arca Sim Racing and rFactor. Nascar Racing 2003 is the only real important one. The others aren't important, but if I can run them then good :).

on the whole george your build looks not bad, but strongly advise you DO NOT buy a biostar motherboard they are a cheap crap brand, i just bought my first and only biostar board to try last week and it was faulty, i spent ages building the whole machine, installing windows, then on final check over found there was no sound from the front audio connections, after a thorough testing found two of the pins on the front panel header were faulty.

with an established brand you could say unlucky, but to get your first board from there brand and it be faulty is not a good sign, when i setup the return the gigabyte board i exchanged it for was only 80 pence dearer, so spend a few pennies extra and get an established brand board

I agree Biostar has a bad history but this particular motherboard has good reviews. I was looking at a gigabyte mobo that is $10 more but there are mixed reviews (good and bad).

I also want to know if there are other power supplies at this price range that don't have the upper opening (like the one I chose). I saw the antec earthwatts green. Should I choose that one instead?

i would say the antec green is the better psu, it has lots of power connectors and the black finish is more attractive

Biostar is crap for your budget try and get a better motherboard brand like gigabyte or asus one of them

This is the power supply i'm talking about:

I was also looking at this one, cheaper but doesn't say anything about 80plus.
