I'm looking to build a good all around system. It'll be used for gaming, movies, and general office tasks.

I'm also considering (2) 300gbish HDDs so I can run multiple OSs

I'm planning on running a 64-bit OS so I can take advantage of the extra RAM recognition. I'd also like any suggestions on a decent optical drive and any other suggestions you may have. Thanks in advance for your input.

EDIT: Also need suggestions for a decent GPU. I'm looking to stay under $1200 for the whole build.

I'll be playing games like COD 4, WaW, and maybe even some World of Warcraft. I'll be using my 32" 720p lcd for a monitor.

I have two suggestions for you. The Core 2 Duo is a good processor but very overpriced. You could get a Quad-Core processor for the nearly the same price as the Core 2 Duo E8400.

Take a look at the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor that is priced at $185:

Here is a decent heatsink that will work with the Q6600 processor:

Take a look at the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard and compare its features with the one you are looking at. This motherboard is only $120:
