Hello, i am in the process of building my first computer. I aimed for a decent card that will play most games, nothing crazy. I got a GDDRII pci express 512mb Diamond Viper Raedon ATI video card for 55 dollars, with a 20 dollar rebate from buy.com. Is this a decent video card for current games, thaks

I believe you can fold@home on that like a madman, so I would say so, escpesially for the price.

what do you mean, i really dont understand this response, is this an outdated crappy card, i just wanted to get something that was better than nothing, but capable of playing decent games.

He is saying that you can use a program called "folding at home", and he commented that it would run said "folding at home" program perfectly, so you should be able to game fine.

I agree, most people will probably say "oh no, get the 8800" but your x1650 should be a good card that will last a while and work on games like CSS, cod4, or even crysis (granted, dont try and jack up the quality).

It's a decent card and probably won't play the newest games on the higher/highest settings but, for the price, it's an excellent buy.
