Im looking at splashing out on the old fun box again. Fairly serious gamer, can you tell me what really ought to be upgraded... if anything

AMD Athlon64 x2 (2.4ghz)
1.5gb RAM
Nvidia XFX 8800GTX
150gb Hard drive

Worth spending on the processor?

What would really help you out is upgrading your CPU and to do that you would also need to upgrade your motherboard. Also add some RAM, at least have 2GB. What type of RAM do you have? Vista or XP? What is your budget?

Bugdet depends on what im buying really. I've budgeted myself around £50 ($100) for another gig of ram. And im stil not sure about the processor - it seems to handle all games fine on max settings (although its pretty old now). Can you reccommend a good AMD dual core proscessor socket 939?
