RCA/SVHS out (8400GS/Win7)

OK, this is really pissing me off... I just built this HTPC for my dad. I plugged it into his TV using VGA and it looks beautiful. It works with his TV's native res, very sharp, couldn't be better!

HOWEVER, the whole reason we got this 8400GS was so we could use RCA/SVHS and go into his DVD recorder. However, no matter what I do, I CAN NOT get TV-OUT to work!

I had the latest forceware drivers installed but it never detected the TV or DVD recorder. I did the force display detection, restart, blah blah...nothing. I rolled back the drivers to Windows drivers and it actually did detect the display, but never showed anything. Tried clone, extend, single...all the options but got nothing.

I know it's not the TV or the card because with VGA unplugged, I CAN SEE the bios and Windows boot screens through RCA. It's these damn drivers and that stupid Nvidia Control Panel they switched to. I used to never have any problems like this with my old 7600GT back before they "upgraded"

OK... I'll stop ranting... Please, someone give me some insight!

Quick edit, I might downgrade to XP rather than trying 7 on this computer assuming I can find drivers. If I can find some old drivers that still used the "classic control panel" I could probably make it work. And seeing as this is for Dad, he'd probably prefer XP.

Downgraded some older forceware drivers (ones that still supported the classic control panel) and guess what. TV Out worked instantly. Goes to show how much nvidia imporoved their drivers
